Founded in 2011 under the name Lingua Custodia to propose a machine translation solution for the financial industry, OVHai LLM, is a subsidiary of OVH since April 2025. The company is specialised in frugal and sovereign AI models & architectures. Winner of the Large AI Grand Challenge organised by the European Commission, OVHai LLM designs efficient and economical AI models, adapted to business practises and deployed, when required, on local infrastructures. The company aims to build a useful, responsible and efficient European AI, at the service of companies while promoting technological sovereignty of the continent. OVHai LLM offers specialised and sovereign models for direct usage by the technical teams of its customers and a SaaS platform allowing business users to directly use its generative AI technologies to analyse unstructured information, translate, classify, summarise or compare technical documents securely. Its cutting-edge technology, initially designed to meet many specific financial use cases, is now used and recognised by many major international corporations.
