Some MCP calls fail
Good performance now. Thanks a lot. Tested it with LM Studio and opencode. Hint: The latest version of LM Studio doesn't see it in the model search, although it should – the version history says so and it is tagged as "splash" in the search list. So I added it manually and made performance tests to prove it is using splash.
In my tests some MCP calls fail. For example the DEVONthink MCP call is not able to create a record. It constantly fails to add the content text parameter to the call. This is true for chats in opencode and chats in LM Studio. So I guess it's a matter of the LLM.
Thanks for reporting this. Could you share your Splash version, the DEVONthink tool schema, and a minimal failing request with the raw tool-call response, with private content removed? That would help us distinguish missing arguments generated by the model from schema or client handling. We haven't confirmed a fix for this case yet.
Thanks for the fast reply. It turns out, this wasn't an issue of the LLM, but of the splash engine. At the time of my posting it was < V 0.0.5. Yesterday there was an update. Now the tool calls work as expected.
In case anyone has the same issues, the working setup now is:
- LM Studio Version V 0.4.25+1
- Splash (Metal) V 0.0.5
