SentenceTransformer based on sentence-transformers/paraphrase-mpnet-base-v2

This is a sentence-transformers model finetuned from sentence-transformers/paraphrase-mpnet-base-v2. It maps inputs to a 768-dimensional dense vector space and can be used for semantic textual similarity, semantic search, paraphrase mining, classification, clustering, and more.

Usage

Direct Usage (Sentence Transformers)

First install the Sentence Transformers library:

pip install -U sentence-transformers

Then you can load this model and run inference.

from sentence_transformers import SentenceTransformer

# Download from the 🤗 Hub
model = SentenceTransformer("hast2/2026-paraphrase_mpnet_influence_v2")
# Run inference
sentences = [
    'Ah! what will every dirge avail!',
    'Now let us, as we float along,',
    'And pray that never child of song',
]
embeddings = model.encode(sentences)
print(embeddings.shape)
# [3, 768]

# Get the similarity scores for the embeddings
similarities = model.similarity(embeddings, embeddings)
print(similarities)
# tensor([[1.0000, 0.4102, 0.3293],
#         [0.4102, 1.0000, 0.2633],
#         [0.3293, 0.2633, 1.0000]])

    As soon as I got on deck, the captain, mate, people and slaves crowded around me to relate their stories,
    and to make known their griev- ances; which could not but impress me with feelings of pity for their sufferings.
    They told me they had no water, as is related in their different accounts and depositions. After promising to
    relieve all the wants they had mentioned.

    the negresses, of whom there were not a few, exceeded the others in their dolorous vehemence. The scurvy,
    together with the fever, had swept off a great part of their number, more especially the Spaniards.
    Off Cape Horn they had narrowly escaped shipwreck; then, for days together, they had lain tranced without wind;
    their provisions were low; their water next to none; their lips that moment were baked.
