Ravager 3 Android ARM64 build

Android ARM64 build of Ravager 3, Abhinav Tiwari's UCI chess engine. This is a separate Android port build, not an official GitHub release asset.

  • Engine: ravager-android-arm64 (89,932,544 bytes, NNUE embedded).
  • Platform: Android 10+ / API 29, ARM64. ELF segments aligned for 4KB and 16KB page devices.
  • SHA-256: 781fd695988b1d9983b91755f94e238c926d164ce40fddfd620d6039cc46d83e
  • Source: official main a6497e92bfe865a94a92c443c1bc9fbb38a832fb (engine source matches tag v3) plus the included portability patch.
  • Complete corresponding source: ravager-source-android-arm64-full.tar.gz, includes the original network and AGPL license. Follow BUILD-NOTES.txt for the NDK build command.
  • Changes: compile guards around x86 kernels and dispatch; portable square comparison; Android thread-local alignment. Uses existing scalar NNUE code (compiler may vectorize). No search or network changes. No hand-written NEON optimization.

Verification

Tested through ARM64 user emulation, not on a physical phone. Bench is 440703 nodes, matching the official x64 binary. Start-position perft(5) is 4865609; UCI handshake and search work. Phone speed and GUI compatibility remain unverified.

The standalone file is a UCI engine, not a chessboard app. A signed OEX provider APK is also supplied: Ravager3-Android-arm64-OEX.apk. Install it, then use Chessis' Add OEX engines option to select Ravager 3. APK signature and contents were checked; installation/discovery have NOT been tested on a physical Android phone. No permissions are requested. Wrapper source and Apache 2.0 license are included in ravager-oex-wrapper-source.tar.gz. A compatible GUI must launch it; OEX-only GUIs need an APK wrapper, also supplied here. DroidFish supports external Android binaries; its compatibility with Android 16 needs a phone test. Start with Hash 64 MB and Threads 1.
