MiniCPM-OCR-1.0-GGUF

MiniCPM-OCR 1.0 is a compact, open-weight (Apache-2.0), 1.3B-parameter vision-language model developed by OpenBMB as the first OCR-dedicated model in the MiniCPM-V/o family, specializing in Chinese and English document parsing and structured key information extraction (KIE). Trained on top of MiniCPM-V 4.6, it pairs a SigLIP vision encoder (using 4× visual token compression at a 448 scale resolution across up to 9 slices) with a Qwen3.5 language model, and operates alongside the PP-DocLayoutV3 layout detector and minicpmvocr SDK to concurrently recognize cropped document regions—converting text, tables (to HTML), formulas (to LaTeX), charts, and seals from scans, skewed or curved pages, handwriting, and photos into reading-order Markdown or direct JSON outputs. It achieves state-of-the-art accuracy among open-source OCR models—scoring 93.68 on Real5-OmniDocBench, 54.7 on OCRBench v2, and the highest equal-weight average across OmniDocBench v1.6, Real5-OmniDocBench, Wild-OmniDocBench, and olmOCR-Bench—while delivering 1.2 pages/s on an RTX 5090. When paired with its dedicated DSpark draft model for decoding acceleration, end-to-end processing efficiency increases by 55%, reaching 1.49× the throughput of PaddleOCR-VL-1.6 and 3.62× that of MinerU2.5 Pro. Released in BF16, GGUF, AWQ (W4A16), and GPTQ (W4A16) formats with fine-tuning support via LLaMA-Factory and ms-swift, it offers day-one deployment across vLLM, SGLang, llama.cpp, Ollama, Hugging Face Transformers, and FlagOS.
