A gamechanger for candid photorealism
FameGrid is the result of a massive training job: seven different training layers, five different datasets, and development across multiple training runs and model versions. The goal was to bring together a distinctive photographic look and a practical ComfyUI workflow that lets you shape the final image.
The checkpoints offer two different looks. Pick the one that fits the photograph you want to create.

Standard: the candid iPhone look
Standard is the go-to checkpoint for the candid, amateur iPhone aesthetic. It is built around attractive photographs that still feel casual and unposed: the kind of image someone would actually take and keep on their phone. Start here when you want that spontaneous, everyday photographic character.
Standard file: Famegrid-Standard-Checkpoint-V1.safetensors.
Bold: polished and a little sharper
Bold gives you a more polished take on the FameGrid look. Images have a bit more sharpness and a crisper finish, making it a strong choice when you want a more refined presentation.
Select the Bold checkpoint file once its upload has completed. The same companion workflows work with either checkpoint; change the model selected in the BASE loader.
Included with the checkpoints
The checkpoint release comes with the FameGrid UltraReal Premium Workflow, FameGrid Photo Pro for ComfyUI, and the Grok Chat node.

Get the checkpoint weights and the companion archive from Files and versions. The ZIP will appear there once uploaded. The checkpoint weights are separate downloads and are not duplicated inside the ZIP.
FameGrid UltraReal Premium Workflow
A complete, professionally organized ComfyUI workflow collection built around the FameGrid Krea 2 checkpoints. Sections are grouped and color coded, with clear controls for the stages you want to use.
Choose from three starting points:
- True Text to Image: write your own prompt and generate from scratch. No Grok or reference image is needed.
- Reference to Image: Grok describes your reference photograph, and that description drives a new generation.
- Image to Image: use your loaded image as both the visual reference and the starting latent. The supplied first-pass denoise is 0.72.
The workflows include Fast Mode / KSampler and Quality / ClownShark first-pass options, optional character and additional LoRA slots, and a choice of Wan 2x decoding or FP32 VAE decoding with RTX 2x ULTRA upscaling.
The optional Skin Detailer is a full-frame detail pass. The optional Turbo Refinement stage is intended for especially stubborn cases of AI skin; leave it off for your first run. Group bypass controls let you turn optional stages off while keeping the main image path clear.
Each edition has a simple PHOTO FINISH on/off control. The bundle also includes No Famegrid Photo Pro workflow editions that use Camera Raw Enhance as an alternative finish.
FameGrid Photo Pro for ComfyUI
Photo Pro is a visual photo-finishing studio inside ComfyUI. Open Adjust Settings/Edit Photo, work with a loaded photograph or an image generated by your workflow, and use the full-resolution preview to build your look.
Adjust light, color, texture, clarity, sharpening and film grain. The editor also includes a Color Mixer, targeted Skin Tone controls, presets, before/after comparison, undo/redo, zoom and pan. Skin Tone uses an adjustable color-and-area selection; inspect its mask to protect similar colors elsewhere in the image.
The point is to set up your finish visually once. Choose Apply to node to store your settings in the workflow. Future incoming generated images then use those same settings automatically. You can also prepare settings before loading a photo.
Photo Pro runs its photo-processing engine locally. It requires the separate RawTherapee CLI installation; installing the custom node alone does not install RawTherapee. The archive includes the compiled editor and installation instructions.
Grok Chat for ComfyUI
The included Grok Chat node connects ComfyUI to xAI Grok for text and image understanding. In the reference-based workflows, it reads the supplied image and turns it into a descriptive generation prompt.
Grok is used by Reference to Image and Image to Image. True Text to Image works without it. Reference captioning requires your own xAI API key and API billing or credits; usage is billed by xAI. Your API key is not included in the bundle.

Start in ComfyUI
- Download the checkpoint you want to use and place it in a ComfyUI diffusion-model folder, such as
ComfyUI/models/diffusion_modelsor your configuredmodels/unetfolder. - Download and extract the companion ZIP. Open
START HERE.mdinside it. - Copy the two bundled custom-node folders into
ComfyUI/custom_nodesand install their Python requirements using the same Python interpreter that runs ComfyUI. - Install RawTherapee CLI for Photo Pro and the other workflow dependencies listed in
Workflows/README.md. The bundle includes Photo Pro and Grok; third-party node packages and supporting model weights are installed separately. - Load a workflow JSON and choose Standard or Bold in its BASE model loader. Reselect any other missing model files for your installation.
- For a first run, use True Text to Image, enter your prompt, and leave the optional character, Skin Detailer and Turbo groups off. Then explore the other modes and finishing controls.
Contributor access
Eligible checkpoint contributors can unlock downloads through the automatic contributor verification portal.
- Enter the email used for your eligible checkpoint contribution. It does not need to match your Hugging Face email.
- Open the verification link sent to that inbox.
- Sign in with the Hugging Face account you want to use for downloads.
- Confirm the displayed Hugging Face username. The portal verifies eligibility and grants access automatically.
If you already submitted the Hugging Face form and see awaiting review, complete the portal steps above; you do not need to wait for manual review. The native Hugging Face form is a separate manual-review route.
Each contribution email can be linked to one Hugging Face account. If you need to correct an existing account link or verification fails, contact support in the FameGrid Discord. Do not post receipts or payment details in public discussions.

Workflow update: FameGrid trigger and defaults
The checkpoint trigger word is famegrid (FameGrid). Include it in your positive prompt. The Grok workflows include this exact opening:

Fast KSampler defaults to 10 steps. Experiment with 8-12 steps to find the lowest count that retains the image quality you want.
