Commercial use of generated audio outputs

Are outputs generated locally with YuE2-3B allowed for commercial use, such as releasing songs on Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, etc. and receiving streaming revenue, provided that the YuE2 model weights themselves are not redistributed, sold, or offered as part of a commercial generation service?

In other words, does the CC BY-NC 4.0 restriction apply only to commercial use/distribution of the model weights themselves, or does it also restrict commercial use of audio outputs generated by the model?

i thought ai slop couldnt be copyrighted in usa atleast

Copyright and For Commercial Use are two different concepts entirely. Most of those streaming services themselves have restrictions and or require explicitly detailed descriptions that they are AI created. Good question to clarify if it's the weights or audio outputs also or both.

I'd love to know too. It's very vague on their site.

But If you check Yue2's licence file on here [MODEL_LICENSE] (https://github.com/multimodal-art-projection/YuE/blob/main/MODEL_LICENSE#:~:text=MODEL_LICENSE)

it says

" a. License grant.

   1. Subject to the terms and conditions of this Public License,
the Licensor hereby grants You a worldwide, royalty-free,
      non-sublicensable, non-exclusive, irrevocable license to
exercise the Licensed Rights in the Licensed Material to:

        a. reproduce and Share the Licensed Material, in whole or
in part, for NonCommercial purposes only; and

        b. produce, reproduce, and Share Adapted Material for
           NonCommercial purposes only. "

I sent them an email asking them to confirm about the commercial rights for example if shared/monetised on Youtube.
