Request for Manual Review of SAM 3 Access Request
Dear SAM 3 Team,
My access request for the official SAM 3 model weights was recently rejected, and I would like to respectfully request a manual review.
I am a PhD student at South China University of Technology, conducting academic research in computer vision and related machine learning applications.
I would like to use SAM 3 as a foundation model for image segmentation and related academic experiments. My intended use is strictly for non-commercial research and education. I plan to use the model locally for research purposes and will not redistribute the SAM 3 model weights or provide public access to the model.
My institutional affiliation can be verified through my university information and institutional email. I am happy to provide any additional information required to verify my academic status or intended use.
I would greatly appreciate it if you could reconsider my access request or let me know if there is any information that needs to be corrected or supplemented.
