Request for Reconsideration of SAM-Audio-Large Access for ICASSP 2027 Audio Editing Challenge
Dear SAM-Audio Team,
My access request for facebook/sam-audio-large was recently rejected. I would like to kindly request reconsideration and provide additional information about my identity and intended use.
My name is Ruixuan Zhang, and I am a graduate student at Tsinghua University. My research interests include speech and audio processing, audio generation, audio understanding, and audio agents.
I am currently preparing to participate in the ICASSP 2027 Audio Editing Challenge, particularly the Agent Track. SAM-Audio-Large is used as the source separation component in the official Agent Track baseline, so access to the checkpoint would allow me to reproduce the official baseline and conduct follow-up academic research on audio editing agents.

My intended use of SAM-Audio-Large is strictly for non-commercial academic research. I plan to use the checkpoint only for local inference, benchmark evaluation, reproduction of the official challenge baseline, and research experiments related to audio editing. I will not redistribute the model weights and will comply with the SAM-Audio license and all applicable Hugging Face and Meta requirements.
