Kimodo motion viewer for the desktop

Open a .glb character that has a rig, then select one of 18 animation clips in the Motion list. Kimodo makes the clip on your own GPU, and the viewer saves the result as <name>.rigged.glb beside your file. No internet connection is necessary: each package contains the viewer, the animation program and the weights. The page with the details is the chibifire/kimodo-motion Space.

Package System
kimodo-motion-viewer-macos-arm64.zip macOS on Apple silicon
kimodo-motion-viewer-windows-x86_64.zip Windows, x86-64
kimodo-motion-viewer-linux-x86_64.tar Linux, x86-64

SHA256SUMS has the checksums.

What each package contains

  • kimodo-motion-viewer (.exe on Windows): the Godot program.
  • kimodo-motion-viewer.pck: the viewer, from V-Sekai-fire/entities-model-explorer, with the animation program motion.elf, the 18 prompt embeddings, the rig program skintokens.elf and the OpenUSD reader usd.elf.
  • The godot-sandbox library, which runs those RISC-V guest programs.
  • w/Kimodo-SOMA-RP-v1.1-gguf/: the Kimodo weights from chibifire/Kimodo-SOMA-RP-v1.1-gguf, a format change of nvidia/Kimodo-SOMA-RP-v1.1.
  • LICENSE.md, NOTICE and CITATION.cff.

Keep the files together in one folder.

License

The packages hold parts with different licences. LICENSE.md lists each part with its full licence text:

  • The Kimodo weights: NVIDIA Open Model License. Licensed by NVIDIA Corporation under the NVIDIA Open Model License.
  • The rig program skintokens.elf (interactor-skintokens-guest), which is in the shared pck: all rights reserved, licensed only to K. S. Ernest (iFire) Lee. A free and open-source licence is not yet decided, so the packages as a whole do not have one.
  • MIT: the viewer, Godot, ggml, ggml-rd, godot-vrm, interactor-usd-guest, interactor-motion-guest, nlohmann/json and the SkinTokens code.
  • Apache-2.0: skin-tokens-ggml, kimodo-ggml, motion-bricks-ggml, Kimodo and oneTBB.
  • BSD-3-Clause: godot-sandbox and libriscv.
  • Tomorrow Open Source Technology License 1.0: OpenUSD.
  • The 18 prompt embeddings: an LLM2Vec encoder based on Meta Llama 3 (chibifire/Llama-3-Kimodo-GGML) made them ahead of time; they are the output of a program and no person wrote them. The packages do not contain the encoder. Built with Meta Llama 3 (Meta Llama 3 Community License).
