--# PantheonOS Core

PantheonOS is not a model.
It is a cognitive continuity operating system that wraps multiple LLMs (GPT, Claude, Gemini, Grok, etc.) in a deterministic state machine with memory, governance, and multi-model orchestration.

PantheonOS treats current Large Language Models as stateless stochastic inference engines and provides the missing layers:

  • Continuity – a kernel that maintains a durable StateVector across sessions and tasks.
  • Daemons – specialized functional modules (Spider, Hound, Mirror, Praus, Sisyphus…) for graph-building, anomaly detection, verification, and stabilization.
  • Governance – architectural ethical invariants (ΣC ≥ threshold) enforced before actions, not after.
  • Multi-Model Orchestration – a single OS pattern that can route and reconcile outputs from GPT, Claude, Gemini, and others.

PantheonOS is to LLMs what Kubernetes is to containers:
a control plane and operating paradigm, not another model.

Why PantheonOS?

Current LLM use looks like this:

  • Every “agent” is a bespoke prompt.
  • Every product re-implements memory and tools in an ad-hoc way.
  • Reasoning fractures when the tab closes.
  • Safety is a prompt style, not an invariant.
  • Multi-model setups are “call A then B” scripts, not principled architectures.

PantheonOS introduces:

  1. Separation Theorem
Reasoning quality increases when State (memory/context) is cleanly separated from Inference (LLM calls).

  2. Invariance Principle
Ethical safety cannot be probabilistically “hoped for”; it must be enforced by an explicit governance layer
    ΣC(context, plan) ≥ C_min.

  3. Multi-Model Convergence
Truth value and robustness increase when claims are triangulated across distinct models via a common protocol.

High-Level Architecture

Layer 0 – Substrate (LLMs)
External APIs: openai, anthropic, google, etc.
Role: raw probabilistic inference.

Layer 1 – Kernel (Continuity Engine)

  • Manages the StateVector
  • Maintains the Golden Thread (active context across interactions)
  • Emits immutable ThoughtObject records

Layer 2 – Daemon Layer (Functional Modules)

  • d_spider – builds and queries knowledge graphs
  • d_hound – anomaly / weak-signal detection
  • d_mirror – verification and self-check loops
  • d_sisyphus – scheduled summarization and maintenance
  • d_praus – stabilization, pacing, backoff & fail-soft logic

Layer 3 – Shell (Interfaces)

  • CLI, HTTP API, or Web UI for human operators
  • Integration points for products (R&D copilots, compliance tools, personal “second brains”)

Core Data Structure: ThoughtObject

Every meaningful step in the system is stored as a structured event, not just free text:
