Samsung Galaxy S4 GT-I9505 postmarketOS server
Experimental unofficial headless server builds (2026-10-18). Current catalog release is v4; v3 remains available. GT-I9505 only. Other S4 variants are not supported by these files.
Current v4 rebuild
v2026.10.18-v4/samsung-jflte-v4.img: 756023296 bytes, SHA-2565b4e14d49cb5c898af7c39a4e2a3da0fb43ab9b06ea2e5e4c56823302f66ecf2.v2026.10.18-v4/lk2nd.img: same pinned BOOT file as v3; see SHA256SUMS in that directory.- Explicit packages:
openssh-client-default,openssh-server,openssh-server-common-openrc; SSH service enabled. Loginuser / 147147. - Image checks confirmed the password and executable SSH client/server, with no personal keys, host keys, or Wi-Fi profiles. The USB HNP/SRP/ADP disable flags remain in the DTB.
- V4 is not hardware-flashed or benchmarked yet. Prior v3 acceptance below does not establish v4 acceptance.
Previous v3 files
v2026.10.18-v3/lk2nd.img: BOOT partition bootloader (249872 bytes).v2026.10.18-v3/samsung-jflte-v3.img: postmarketOS disk image for USERDATA (757071872 bytes).v2026.10.18-v3/SHA256SUMS: SHA-256 checksums.
Use the exact-model recipe at https://rominit.pages.dev (device jfltexx, ROM philipplinux-pmos-server). TWRP must unmount USERDATA before the write. The recipe verifies both writes by reading them back.
Flashing overwrites BOOT and USERDATA, erasing Android and its data. Back up EFS and personal data first. A stock recovery path has not been acceptance-tested here.
Login and networking
Login: user / 147147. Change this shared password immediately. No disk encryption. USB networking uses 172.16.42.1; another postmarketOS handset on the same address can conflict. CLI flash and both write read-back hashes passed on GT-I9505 on 2026-10-18; kernel 7.2.0 boot and USB SSH were verified, root expanded to 8.5 GiB. A quiet CLI benchmark completed 30 checks: USB networking, storage, charging and Bluetooth were detected; Wi-Fi exposed wlan0 but saw no networks. Audio, camera and cellular were unavailable. Display, touch, Bluetooth data transfer and GPU rendering need separate functional checks. The benchmark report is awaiting review on ROMinit.

Built from a local pmaports checkout based on commit 3600fc06e300cdb62ab8eb53ddfa263214e17bd7 with local USB OTG-FSM and Wi-Fi firmware variant changes. This is a combined OS/firmware image; components retain their upstream licenses. No single license for the combined image is asserted.
Website benchmark
With the latest ROMinit CLI authenticated and paired in the browser, Run with CLI launches the bundled quiet check over SSH and returns results to the website for review. The computer needs OpenSSH and sshpass. The real-browser one-click flow was tested on the running v3 GT-I9505; v4 was not flashed for that test.
