YahBible — a Bible, Scripture, Word & Verse study app

YahBible is a free desktop app for deep study and comparison of the Bible and the other sacred literatures — a custom reader, a Hebrew/Greek/Aramaic word engine, Strong's + interlinear, and (coming soon) a grounded AI. It runs right out of the box on Windows — download one file and go.

Pre-release. YahBible is tweaked and expanded daily and updates itself over the network. Expect it to keep getting better on its own. Found a bug? Report it inside the app (Report a bug) and it goes straight to the creator.

📥 Install — the easy way

Just run it (no install):

Download YahBible.exe (button above, or the Files and versions tab).
Double-click it.
It opens in your browser at 127.0.0.1. That's it.

Or install it for a permanent home + a Start-menu / taskbar icon: run YahBible.exe and choose Install, then pin the icon.

On first run it downloads its study library from this repo (~1.2 GB), so the app is usable within moments; the full deep lexicon then finishes in the background. After that it works offline. No account is needed to read and study.

Windows may show a SmartScreen notice for a new publisher — choose More info → Run anyway. YahBible runs entirely on your own machine.

Word study — every word in Hebrew, Greek & Aramaic

Click any word for its original-language study: Hebrew, Greek, and Aramaic forms, transliteration, letter-by-letter meaning, and gematria.

Word definitions, Strong's & interlinear

With the lexicon, each word carries its Strong's number, dictionary definition, and the interlinear original under each verse — the scholarly layer, built in.

Red Letter Words — the words of Yeshua the Christ

The words of Christ from the Gospels and Revelation, in the KJV, set apart in scarlet — one click opens any of them in their full chapter context.

The Logos — the revelation of the Name

The Name behind every “LORD” in the text — YHWH / Yahweh Tsidkenu — the Word, the Truth, the Breath, studied in depth.

Study side by side — many sources at once

Split the reading desk into independent panes and load a different source in each — here Genesis (Old Testament), the Red Letter Words of Christ (Matthew 5, in scarlet), and Revelation (New Testament), all fully loaded and scrollable at the same time. Stack them top/bottom, side by side, 2-over-1, or in quarters, and add more panes as you go — to compare and cross-reference across the whole counsel of Scripture in one glance.

Why it's useful
