Licence clarification for exact Kronos-small and Kronos-Tokenizer-base artifacts
Hi ShiYu and the Kronos team,
I am assessing Kronos-small for personal, non-commercial research into an own-account crypto spot trading strategy. I plan to run zero-shot inference locally on market data that I licence separately. I will not fine-tune the model, redistribute the artifacts, expose them to customers or use them in a commercial product under this research scope.
Before I acquire or install any model files, I need written clarification for these exact repositories and revisions:
NeoQuasar/Kronos-small, revision901c26c1332695a2a8f243eb2f37243a37bea320NeoQuasar/Kronos-Tokenizer-base, revision0e0117387f39004a9016484a186a908917e22426- Files in each repository:
README.md,config.jsonandmodel.safetensors
Both model cards label the repositories as MIT and link to the MIT licence in shiyu-coder/Kronos. The exact Hugging Face trees do not contain a separate licence file or artifact-specific copyright notice. Could you please confirm each point below?
- Do you or the relevant rights holder grant use of both exact
config.jsonandmodel.safetensorsartifacts under the MIT License? - Does the MIT text and copyright notice in
shiyu-coder/Kronos/LICENSEgovern both the Kronos-small and Kronos-Tokenizer-base artifacts above? If another rights holder or notice applies, please identify it. - Which licence text, copyright notice, attribution and citation must I retain with a local research copy?
- Does the grant cover local retention, zero-shot inference on separately licensed market data, and internal retention of derived forecasts and evaluation results for the personal research scope described above?
- Do the artifacts carry any additional restriction or require any separate permission related to their training data for this inference use?
A numbered response to points 1 through 5 would help me preserve the correct evidence and notices before installation.
Thank you,
Philip Cederman
