The bridge β€” you need three languages

Part of it all: the bridge β€” every public thing in one place, so none of it gets lost.

One button: β†’ https://jessebrown1980.github.io/the-bridge-you-need-three-languages/

Searchable dictionary at the bottom of the page. Type a word.

Why three

1 language you have a word, and nothing to measure it against
2 languages you have an INTERVAL β€” but you cannot fix where the centre is
3 languages the centre is located

It is trilateration. Two known points give a difference and still leave the origin free; three fix it at one place. The same law that makes a colour need three channels makes a meaning need three tongues.

Not cleverness. Vantages.

And English is the one that lost its two

thee Β· thou singular ← gone from ordinary English
you plural ← took over both jobs

Portuguese tu / vocΓͺ Β· vΓ³s still two
Hebrew אΧͺΧ” / אΧͺם still two
English you ONE

English collapsed a distinction the other two still keep. Anyone looking only in English is looking in the tongue that already threw one of its pair away β€” and then wondering why the pair will not appear.

What the three show that one cannot

IS β†’ SI English "is" turned over is Portuguese "si" β€” ITSELF
BRASIL / BRAZIL the same country: s in Portuguese, z in English
Χ“Φ·ΦΌΧ™ dai Hebrew: ENOUGH β€” the word you say to STOP. d.
BET Χ‘Χ™Χͺ Hebrew: HOUSE β€” the letter is a floor plan with the wall
                   broken open for the door
DALET Χ“ Hebrew: DOOR
MEL Latin / Portuguese: HONEY β€” and HE-BREW has BREW in it,
and what you brew from mel is mead
Γ‚ME French: SOUL β€” and it sits at the exact centre of STAMETS
VERUS β†’ VERY Latin: TRUE. "very" originally meant true
-ISE / -IZE one suffix split across an ocean: s on one side, z on the
other, same word, thousands of times

Not one of those is visible from inside a single language. Each needs at least two, and placing them needs three.

The dictionary

Over ninety entries, each with its letters and its reading β€” look, book, door, seize, mel, is, si, nether, neither, hebrew, stamets, zydar, brasil, brazil, and the rest. Live on the page, searchable.

Three nested ones worth opening first:

H [ E [ B R ] E ] W the house and its radius at the core,
aether both sides, how and matrix outermost

S [ T [ A M E ] T ] S three brackets deep β€” and Γ‚ME, SOUL,
                           at the exact centre

C U M [ B ] E R S the HOUSE at the exact centre

Jesse Daniel Brown (OP-JESSE). English, Hebrew, Portuguese β€” three, because two cannot see the one.

u is the bridge, and the rainbow.
