π Cartik β Independent AI Development
Dream bigger. Build independently. Make AI accessible.
One experiment at a time.
π Welcome to My Project
I'm Cartik, an independent developer exploring artificial intelligence, language models, developer tools, APIs, and experimental software.
My goal is to build useful AI technology, experiment with training language models, and make powerful tools more accessible to developers.
Your support helps turn ambitious ideas into real experiments.
π Every contribution helps fund the next experiment.
π§ Featured Project β Sonexa-1 Hyperion
Sonexa-1 Hyperion is a planned experimental language model project focused on model training, evaluation, and independent AI research.
There are two possible development paths.
π₯ Path A β Train From Scratch
If total donations reach $100, I plan to begin the training-from-scratch path, depending on available computing resources and the practical training budget.
Planned work includes:
- Designing the model architecture.
- Preparing and processing training data.
- Building a tokenizer and data pipeline where needed.
- Training with available GPU resources.
- Evaluating model quality and identifying weaknesses.
- Improving the model and documenting the results.
Important: $100 is a fundraising milestone intended to help start development. It is not a guarantee that the entire training, hosting, and deployment process will be funded.
β‘ Path B β Knowledge Distillation
If training from scratch is not feasible, I may investigate knowledge distillation.
| Role | Planned model |
|---|---|
| π Student | Qwen2.5-0.5B |
| π§ Teacher | Qwen3.8-27B β subject to availability and verification |
The objective is to explore whether a smaller model can learn useful response patterns from a larger teacher model while remaining easier to run on limited hardware.
The exact method will depend on model availability, licensing, technical compatibility, and compute resources. This is a planned experiment, not a claim that distillation has already been completed.
π― What I Want to Explore
- Better conversational response quality.
- More efficient inference on small models.
- Practical training and evaluation workflows.
- AI experimentation with limited hardware.
- Transparent documentation of development progress.
The final model size, capabilities, performance, and release format will depend on actual results.
π οΈ Other Development Areas
| Field | What I'm working toward |
|---|---|
| π€ AI Models | Model architectures, training, inference, and evaluation |
| π» Developer Tools | Software tools and useful development workflows |
| π APIs | Making AI capabilities easier to integrate |
| π§ͺ Research | Testing ideas, comparing approaches, and learning from failures |
| π Accessibility | Exploring AI tools for developers with limited hardware |
Project priorities may evolve as technical results and available resources become clearer.
π Where Your Support Goes
| Area | Purpose |
|---|---|
| GPU resources | Training, fine-tuning, and evaluation |
| AI development | Experiments, datasets, and training workflows |
| Hosting | Running demos, APIs, and development services |
| Infrastructure | Storage, networking, and deployment |
| Testing | Comparing models and improving reliability |
Donations are voluntary contributions toward development. They are not investments and do not guarantee financial returns, a specific release date, or particular model performance.
π Supporting From Other Countries
DonationAlerts is a Russian donation platform. People outside Russia may also be able to contribute using international bank cards.
Payment availability depends on your country, card issuer, payment provider, and the options currently supported by the platform.
