The sole purpose of Balochistan AI Research (BAIR) is to promote the Balochi language and its heritage by empowering it with Artificial Intelligence. We focus on building high-accuracy linguistic infrastructure using pure Balochi vocabulary and standardized Latin orthography.

🛠️ Our Core Research & NLP Focus

We are expanding the digital boundaries of the Balochi language across several critical technical domains:

• Látini OCR (Optical Character Recognition): Transcribing physical documents directly into digitized, searchable Latin script text.
• Machine Translation (MT): High-accuracy translation models operating seamlessly between English and standardized Balochi Latini.
• Speech-to-Text (ASR) & Text-to-Speech (TTS): Developing robust multi-dialect voice models to ensure the language can both listen and speak natively in digital spaces.
• Pure Language Corpora: Cultivating non-literary datasets (science, technology, medicine, and legal frameworks) to push Balochi beyond the limitations of low-resource language categorization.
