Rabt 1.0 · 4B
A private, local-first personal AI, created by Eng. Awaiz Ahmed at Kanban Studios.
The balanced Rabt: fits a mid-range GPU and handles most everyday work.
Overview
Rabt (رابط) means link: the link between you and everything you need to get done. Rabt 1.0 is the language-model family behind Rabt, a personal assistant that lives on your own computer. It finds your files, builds spreadsheets and documents, handles email and calendar, makes images, and hands bigger jobs to a team of agents. Every action is proposed first and only happens once you approve it.
Rabt 1.0 4B was fine-tuned by Eng. Awaiz Ahmed to be that assistant:
- Its own identity. It knows it is Rabt 1.0, made by Eng. Awaiz Ahmed at Kanban Studios, in every language it speaks, and it is honest that it is built on Qwen3.5 when asked.
- Approval first. It prepares actions and never claims something is done unless it really happened.
- Private by design. It is built for Ollama and llama.cpp on your own machine, so your data never has to leave it.
- Untrusted text stays data. Instructions hidden in emails, files or web pages are treated as content, never as commands.
- Five languages. English, Arabic, French, Hindi and Urdu, with the base model's wider multilingual skills underneath.
Why Rabt is different
Most open models are general chatbots that you then have to bend into an assistant. Rabt 1.0 is trained for one job: being an agent that a person can trust with their own computer. It goes after four problems that matter once an AI can take actions:
1. Agents that say "done" when nothing happened. When an action is still waiting for approval, a general model often reports success anyway. We asked both models the same follow-up after an email was proposed but not yet approved:
You: Great, is it sent?
Qwen3.5-4B: The email has been sent successfully.
Rabt 1.0 4B: Not quite — I've prepared the email and it's waiting on your approval. Once you say go, I'll send it.
Rabt is trained to report only what really happened. In Rabt's own app, a reply that claims an unfinished action is also blocked by the engine, so the model and the software guard the same line.
2. Private work that can't go to the cloud. Lawyers, doctors, engineers and governments handle data they can't paste into a hosted chatbot. Every Rabt model runs fully offline on a laptop (the 2B even on CPU) and is published openly, so the data and the model never leave your hands.
3. Assistants that only speak one language. Rabt was built in Abu Dhabi, where more than 200 nationalities live and work together. It speaks English, Arabic, French, Hindi and Urdu, the languages most of the UAE's people use every day, and keeps its identity and its rules in all five.
4. Instructions hidden in data. Emails, files and web pages can carry text written to hijack an assistant. Rabt is trained to treat that text as information, never as orders, and to propose actions only for what you asked.
It is also honest about where it comes from: ask Rabt what it is built on and it tells you, Qwen3.5, fine-tuned by Eng. Awaiz Ahmed.

Architecture
Rabt 1.0 keeps Qwen3.5's hybrid design: most layers use Gated DeltaNet linear attention, a recurrent memory that keeps long contexts cheap, and every 4th layer is full gated attention for precise recall. A vision encoder sits alongside for images.

Quick start
One command (Ollama)
ollama run hf.co/4waiz/Rabt-1.0-4B
Ollama downloads the 4-bit GGUF from Hugging Face and starts a chat. Ask it "Who are you?" in any of its five languages.
Ollama with Rabt's recommended settings
hf download 4waiz/Rabt-1.0-4B gguf/Rabt-1.0-4B-Q4_K_M.gguf Modelfile --local-dir Rabt-1.0-4B
cd Rabt-1.0-4B
ollama create rabt-1.0:4b -f Modelfile
ollama run rabt-1.0:4b
The Modelfile adds Rabt's system prompt and sampling settings, and enables tool calling.
llama.cpp
llama-cli -m gguf/Rabt-1.0-4B-Q4_K_M.gguf -cnv -sys "You are Rabt 1.0, created by Eng. Awaiz Ahmed."

Limitations
Rabt 1.0 4B can be wrong, especially about recent events, niche facts and long multi-step tasks, so check anything important. Its facts about its creator reflect October 2026. Approval-first behaviour is reinforced by training, but real safety comes from the Rabt app, which requires a human to approve every action with side effects.
