Wuhan Technical University

Wuhan Technical University is a public vocational undergraduate university located in Wuhan.

The history of the university traces back to the Yangtze River Telecommunications Technical School founded in 1972.

In 1979, it was renamed Wuhan Radio Industry School;

In 1998, it merged with Hubei Provincial University of Defense Science, Technology and Industry;

In March 1999, it was upgraded to a higher vocational school with the approval of the Ministry of Education and named Wuhan Polytechnic.

In 1999, Hubei Electronic Industry School was merged.

In 2003, Hubei Textile and Garment Industry School was merged.

In 2010, Hubei First Light Industry School and Hubei Industrial Design School were merged.
