License inquiry — commercial use / redistribution

Hello, and thank you for sharing the klue-roberta-small-ner-identified model — we've found it very useful.

We are evaluating this model as the NER engine in a commercial Korean PII
(personal information) detection and de-identification product. However, since
no license is specified on the model card, we would like to confirm whether
commercial use and redistribution are permitted.

  1. May we use the model weights in a commercial product for (a) inference, and
    (b) bundling/redistribution within a desktop application?
  2. If so, could you specify a license in the model card's "license" field, such
as Apache-2.0 or MIT? (Written permission would also be greatly appreciated.)
  3. If there are any separate license restrictions on the training data, we would
appreciate it if you could let us know.

Thank you for making this model publicly available.

Thank you for your interest in the model and for your thoughtful question.

This model is a fine-tuned version of klue/roberta-small. Since the base model currently does not specify a license, I cannot unilaterally assign a permissive license (such as Apache-2.0 or MIT) to this derivative model or grant permissions beyond those of the original model.

For this reason, I am unable to confirm commercial use or redistribution at this time. Once the licensing terms of the base model are clarified by its original authors, I will update the model card accordingly and specify the appropriate license for this fine-tuned model.

Thank you for your understanding.
