Mostly work on Bangla and Banglish NLP. Right now building CommentLens — a system that reads comment sections on Bangladeshi social media and tries to figure out what people are actually saying (and whether it holds up against the news) rather than just flagging toxic comments. Also doing research on factuality-aware headline generation for Bangla news, and slowly putting together a video deepfake detector focused on Bangladeshi political/news content. Most of what I build starts from a local problem — misinformation, comment toxicity, road-safety data — and ends up needing me to fine-tune transformer models (BanglishBERT etc.) on data I usually have to collect and label myself.
