I checked your account billing @Hyperhuber , there's no $100 charge, you're probably mistaken with our billing thresholds when using our compute services (Spaces or Endpoints - see associated doc at https://huggingface.co/docs/hub/billing#billing-thresholds--invoicing)

As explained in my previous posts, existing users had their storage "grandfathered" as part of the transition to the new system. It means your already existing private storage usage is included in your new quota; you will not be billed for it and you will still be able to access any private repos you had before the new system.

By quota we mean "storage included" in your account - unlimited for public repos, and 100GB (free users/orgs) or 1TB (paid users/orgs) for private repos.

As mentioned above, for existing users your quota will include the storage you were already using before the new limits. So for an existing user, your 13TB/1TB example for private repos is actually going to be 13TB/14TB, and you'll only pay for what's above 14TB.

I'm assuming you're talking about public gated models such as https://huggingface.co/meta-llama/Llama-3.3-70B-Instruct - they're public, hence fall into the public category with unlimited storage.

(It's technically possible to gate a private repo, but it's not very useful :))

For existing users/orgs, the limits come on top of the storage already used 🤗
