We want to use the model . What is the formality that needs to be completed for commercial use?

NO ONE FROM MICROSOFT CARES ABOUT OUR QUESTIONS.

BRAVO!

Looking at the github-repo, it is an MIT-license: https://github.com/microsoft/unilm/blob/master/LICENSE
As pragmaticml correctly points out. It is cc-by-nc-sa-4.0 (No commercial use). The Github repo LICENSE file is not corresponding to the model license.

I'm not from Microsoft, but this model is not usable commercially. The tag on huggingface is cc-by-nc-sa-4.0 -- this info is also included in the github README: https://github.com/microsoft/unilm/blob/master/layoutlmv3/README.md

can we fine-tune on our dataset and then use the model? i guess only base model weights are not for commercial purpose, fine-tune weights won't be a issue?
correct me if wrong.

I've noticed people using the LiLT model with the LayoutLMv3 processor for commercial projects. Is this combination legally permissible for commercial use? Any insights on licensing or restrictions would be helpful.
