Can this be used as a normal text generation model?

I'm looking for a Spanish speaking version of Phi 3, and your model seems to fit the bill.
I won't be using the function calling ability, but does that matter? Should I expect any downsides from the training for function calling?
As long as the user doesn't write a function call as a prompt, there should be no problems
