TikZ-Assistant is a demo showcasing three fine-tuned image2text models for TikZ generation: it helps to create scientific diagrams from hand-drawn sketches. Since TikZ is a widely used latex package, we find that pretrained models understand the syntax fairly well. However, our fine-tuned LLaVA models are too slow on a CPU, so we request a community GPU for the demo. The dataset, models, and training script are open-sourced.
