Apply for community grant: Academic project (gpu and storage)

Dear Hugging Face team,

My name is Josh Nguyen and I am an administrator of universeTBD. Recently we were granted a community grant to host a space for our model, universeTBD/astrollama.

We would like to change the SDK of this space from Docker to Gradio. As a result, we have moved our old space (which has your granted compute resource) to universeTBD/astrollama-private, and created a new space universeTBD/astrollama.

We would appreciate it if you could you please assist us with moving the grant from our old space universeTBD/astrollama-private to the new space universeTBD/astrollama.

Many thanks and regards,

Josh

Hi @joshnguyen
I've assigned the GPU as a grant to this Space and removed the grant from the old one. As for the storage, looking at the code, the persistent storage doesn't seem to be used and I think you don't need it. Also, due to the limitation of the current HF infra UI, it looks like I cannot give a grant to the current storage. If you are sure you need it, I can ask our infra team to change the status of it, but I think your Space will work fine without it.

Hi @hysts ,

Many thanks for your quick response! You're right—we do not need permanent storage for this space.

Best,
Josh

Hi @hysts ,
It seems like our GPU grant has been revoked. The Settings page still says A10G is chosen but our log says insufficient hardware.
Would be able to help us check this?
Thank you so much,
Josh

Hi there! Could you try restarting? The GPU grant is still there, but it seems that upon a restart we had some GPU capacity issues.

@joshnguyen The error seems to be due to some temporary infra issue as @osanseviero mentioned. I restarted your Space and it's back up now. You can restart it yourself when something seems off as well.

Thanks so much @hysts and @osanseviero ! I've restarted the space and it works fine now!
