stabilityai/stable-diffusion · Am I the only one who can't seem to make Stable Diffusion to actually listen?

So I'm just trying to make a pretty simple kind of image. A dirt road, with four diverging paths (like a plus sign), on a tropical island.

But for some dang fool reason SD absolutely refuses to make the path diverge. Every result I get just has the path either go in a single direction (no divergence) or just a bendy road. I can fiddle with the guidance scale, or even remove the island so it's just telling SD to create a diverging path with no other options, and it's like the AI is just completely ignoring the most important part (the diverging path).

What am I doing wrong here?
