Same here when i first tried a month ago it was pretty fast not even a few minutes for a 22 page pdf now its unusable.
i keep checking to see if it was fixed. anyone know an alternative that's good

It looks like it's broken unfortunately. Whether you use your API key or not, the processing time is the same - it's as if it's not using my own openAI account to process the requests.

I had the same experience. Left it to run overnight and it still hadn't finished.

I recently attempted to upload a 1000-page book (https://d2l.ai/d2l-en.pdf) using my API key, and it was successfully processed within a mere 13 seconds. I'm uncertain about the specific reasons causing delays in your case.

Is the prolonged processing time occurring consistently with all PDF files you upload, or is it limited to certain specific PDFs?

I'd love to help fix this issue ASAP, but I need more details to figure out what's causing the delay.

I am new and just started. Put in my key and its a 80MB pdf. I uploaded from my desktop. the program has been running for 1 hour now and still no answer. Provided is a snipped of my page. I am using Brave Browser. Windows 10 21H2. Please let me know how i can help you diagnose this. Thank you for putting up something like this and i hope we can make it work. At the time that i ran this, i did not have an account with huggingface. i just created one to give comment. So maybe i rerun while loggin in to huggingface to see if it makes a difference or a different browser.

So i uploaded an even small pdf. This one i created a word document that had two sentence on it and i printed as PDF. And it was not able to to read and provide me information. Attached is the snip. Browser Brave.

ive done the same as you and it gets stuck in a long queue and cant do anything with it, small or large files, and even if the time finishes it go past it, like 10000/9000s

Why there is such a long queue? I am completely confused now. My actual program is quite fast it doesn't take more then some seconds even for large PDFs (1000+ pages). I genuinely apologies to everyone who is facing this issue. I will fix this and get back to you soon.

Meanwhile i suggest whoever wants to use this space without any queue to clone this space locally and launch the app.py. Just make sure you have tensorflow_hub installed.
