Apply for community grant: Academic project (gpu and storage)
I am making tools for my AI creative residency (at CU Boulder) that show students how they can use AI as a way to complement the creative process, and would love to be able to have access to a GPU for these projects, as my department doesn't have great computers with GPUs for AI yet. The first space I was making is a creative writing tool that generates a basic plot to write about. Only one space would be active at a time, and it would be really cool to show off a few somewhat larger models too. A small amount of persistent storage would be helpful for this as well.
This would only be for the spring 2024 semester (Jan through May 2024). I'm happy to share more project plans as well as the syllabus - I was ideally hoping to do one GenAI project each for text, images, video, and audio.
