Runtime error

Hi @Thomcl , Could you confirm if all your PDF files have been indexed? If you select a PDF attachment in Zotero, you can find out in the side panel if the file has been indexed.

Hi, thank you for reaching out. Yes, they are indexed. It is odd, since my search terms used in my questions are the same as in paper titles in Zotero. However, none are used to generate the answer (and the same ones still are). Is there a limit, you'd say, of articles in your Zotero for PaperQA to work properly?

I think I might have found a possible cause. When searching for certain terms, I get the error message: "Error occurred when searching in Zotero: 'ParentItem'". Perhaps this is why most of my papers are not used?

Thanks for the helpful information. Your Zotero library may contain some PDF files that don't have parent bibliographic records ("parentItem"). The app didn't account for this situation. It has been fixed now. Please try again.
