Saved photo won't open in Adobe Photoshop says not a PNG. Is it saving in a non-standard png format?
The saved file won't open in Ancestry.com either. If it's not a compatible format, what is the point in being able to make changes to a photo. I opened it in a PNG Image Checker and it said its a PNG file, but programs don't seem to like it. I installed GIMP to test it there and it opened. I resaved it as a jpg and png and now I can use it in my other programs.

Hello, sorry about that, , what happened is that we were saving a WebP image under the PNG file extension
I did not notice this issue immediately as this file was loading fine on the Preview app on macOS, which doesn't base itself on the file name but the file content
Anyway the issue should now be fixed
