Integrating Conference Deadlines into Organizational Workflows
Hi everyone! I've been exploring this excellent AI Deadlines tool and thinking about how it fits into the broader ecosystem of research planning.
From my experience working with research teams, I've noticed that conference deadlines often create cyclical pressure points that can impact team wellbeing and productivity when not properly integrated into organizational planning. I'm curious if others have developed effective strategies for:
- Proactively planning research timelines that account for multiple possible submission targets
- Managing the balance between conference deadlines and ongoing research progress
- Creating buffer periods around submission dates to reduce last-minute stress
- Coordinating across teams when multiple researchers are targeting different conferences
I'd also love to hear if anyone has integrated this tool (or similar deadline trackers) into broader research management systems. Has anyone built automation around these deadlines for things like:
- Automatically scheduling planning meetings X weeks before deadlines
- Setting up staged internal review processes working backward from submission dates
- Creating visibility across an organization about who is targeting which conferences
As a side note, I'd be happy to contribute by adding conference deadlines for some specialized AI application domains (healthcare, climate, etc.) if that would be valuable to the community.
Looking forward to learning from everyone's experiences!
