Why does eraser use get treated as white paint use?

I'm finger painting on an elderly Samsung Galazy S3?(old) tiny screen, so please excuse the non-art, but first time I did this, I used white to carve the beak shape and so I got 3 eyed alien birds with beakfulls of cheese and other white-ish substances... lol
So I learned my lesson! This time I carved shape using the eraser... and as you can see from my screen shot, the program treated it as "white paint"

They usually have two eyes now, but anyone have ideas why both eyeballs keep rolling round onto the same side of the face?🤦‍♀️
Many thanks!

Oh, and it was something like-
Blue and Gold macaw parrot, perching on branch of tree with leaves and flowers.
