HuggingChat "eating" follow-up messages

I'm experiencing a repeated issue where the first follow-up message I send in a chat simply disappears. Sending the same message again then works. It's occurred so far with Llama 3 and Command-R.
Could it be that there's a "queue" and it takes a long time to start streaming tokens? Do you see a loading indicator or just nothing ?
Also what browser/os are you using ?
This is chrome on windows 11. There is a space made briefly at the bottom for the loading indicator but it quickly goes away, and then nothing.
