The web search feature should satisfy the following criteria:
- Accurate: It should be able to find the most relevant and trustworthy sources of information for any given query and avoid returning results that are outdated, inaccurate, or misleading.
- Fast: It should be able to retrieve and process the information from the web in a timely manner and provide you with quick and responsive answers.
- Comprehensive: It should be able to cover a wide range of topics and domains and provide you with complete and detailed answers that address all aspects of your query.
- Contextual: It should be able to understand the meaning and intent of your query and the context of our conversation and provide you with personalized and relevant answers that suit your needs and preferences.
- Conversational: It should be able to present the information from the web in a natural and engaging way that follows the conventions of human language and dialogue and encourages further interaction.
The only AI chatbot I've encountered so far that mostly satisfies this criteria is Bing AI. So is it possible to mimic Bing AI's mechanism of web search to make the HuggingChat web search feature more robust and reliable?
Yes, there's definitely a lot of room for improvement here. To be honest, it's not at the top of our to-do list right now (we've got some pretty exciting things in the pipeline), but we'll come back to it when we have some time.
