I was really enjoying this project until I had to log in to chat with the assistant. I just can't do this. I am probably one of the few that does not care about the history. Anyway, it has been fun till it lasted.

Read the GNU project philosophy page if you never did it, and also the philosophy page of the RepRap project, where the 3D printer revolution started is a good read.
the issue is that we have to enforce some kind of rate limiting and HF accounts is the simplest way to do it
