You can install it locally...but it requires a lot of computer knowledge, which I have but still failed. I tried installing the MEGA Dalle though. Haven't tried the dalle mini, but I got all the instructions here:

What does adding it in transformers mean I'm sorry I'm new to all this kind of stuff.
I got a copy of mini dalle working easily with that link I posted above, using the Google Colab link in the "Fast Usage" section. Need to go pro to use the mega dalle though, but at least mini works thru the google colab, you basically just push the play buttons and it starts up and server, then copy/paste the URL it generates as instructed.
I tried setting up through Docker on my Windows machine, but I probably ran out of memory. Hopefully it was because Docker runs under WSL, and it ate up all the dedicated resources.
Does the transformer version run with PyTorch? Under Windows I can't install Jax directly...
