Video generation takes over 12 hours? What happens if I close the browser window?

Hi guys,
I put in some text and hit generate. After like 20 failed attempts, one finally went through, but now it's rendering for over 12 hours. How long does it usually take? Is something wrong here? And if I close my PC or the browser window, all progress is lost, right? :/
it should definitly not take 12 hours
It shouldn't take longer than a few minutes to generate a video.
Thanks for the replies, guys. Yeah, I think it just broke down and kept running. I've tried it afterwards and it did work in a couple of seconds or minutes. But the result was pretty different from what I've expected.
