Be nice if the new web transcription tool showed 'as you speak' text
Okay, the demo 'did' allow me to record, but did not see any speak to text coversion. What am I missing here? I could 'play' my recording, trying to see if I have an improvement directly using your tool in word recognition count. My home implementation of whisper is not performing well, eg only 6 of 10 words (red, apple, lightblue.. et al ) tests, and poor transcription of previous wav files, so be nice to use the new web demo, for comparative results.
For now, we don't support transcription streaming... but that is coming soon (once WebGPU support is added)!
Follow the steps shown in this video https://twitter.com/xenovacom/status/1668989621613522948 to see how to use the recording feature. Also maybe check that the recorded audio is correct before transcribing :) If you still have a problem, feel free to open an issue on GitHub: https://github.com/xenova/whisper-web
There is already a demo doing this: https://github.com/ggerganov/whisper.cpp/tree/master/examples/talk.wasm
Yeha, tried that.. didn't work, which is why I am trying this one. Used Brave, had to turn off 'shields' as there was one tracker, and concerned it was affecting this.
But got the following error:
failed to asynchronously prepare wasm: CompileError: WebAssembly.instantiate(): Compiling function #60 failed: invalid value type 's128', enable with --experimental-wasm-simd @+6015
Aborted(CompileError: WebAssembly.instantiate(): Compiling function #60 failed: invalid value type 's128', enable with --experimental-wasm-simd @+6015)

Idk about Brave but it works fine for me in Chromium, Vivaldi, and Firefox.
