Apply for community grant: Personal project
My name is Shakeb Siddiqui and I am a computer science student at Pennsylvania State University. Grooming Genie is an innovative web application built with TypeScript and Next.js that provides personalized suggestions to users for their facial hair grooming routine. By taking into account the user's current facial hair state and desired goals, Grooming Genie offers suggestions on how to achieve their desired look, including specific grooming products, techniques, and styles. Most interestingly, the application has a huggingface space embedded into it that allows users to upload a photo of themselves and output them with their desired facial hair thanks to AI.
The application is currently hosted on vercel and uses this hugging face space embedded into the website. However, for some reason every time I pause the space, I have to reset and re-push the application on my end via github and vercel which is very tedious. I want to continuously improve and refine Grooming Genie, which will not be possible without your help. I am currently running this space using a Nvidia T4 medium. Being a college student, I am unable to run Grooming Genie without continuously pausing the space due to funding. I am seeking a grant because I want to continuously host Grooming Genie for users to access on the internet with its full capabilities thanks to huggingface!
