Why it takes so long to get the result?
It is running on a 2 core CPU. This is only a demo of the code. Check my GitHub for a Colab Notebook to run at full speed. Or like my request for a Community Grant so I can run it on a T4.

You could update this colab notebook to sdxl 1.0?
Oh, I forgot about that previous comment. Yes, I can update my GitHub to have all the latest SDXL 1.0. I've been busy.
