I am building an open-source app that can correctly transcribe Ghanaian-accented speech in English as most speech detection models out there find it difficult to do so correctly. Eventually, I plan to expand this for other African accents. My goal is to eventually incorporate this into a clinical decision support tool for managing medical emergencies in communities in sub-Saharan Africa
