Hi, Philipp!

Do you have the audio from Spitaler's work? "Neue Materialien zum aramäischen Dialekt von Ma'lula". I can send you with the texts (in PDF, need transcription).

Hi, John!

I have audio files that are available on Semitisches Tonarchiv website, there are six files from this work. However, I do not have digitalized version of the book, so I could not use it for my model.

I would be grateful if you could send it to me!

I'll train an OCR model to do that, I havea a PDF of the work, is public domain. I'll let you know.

By the way, I made this project in collaboration with the research group of Modern Aramaic languages, and they may need optical recognition of some other texts. If you would be interested in working with them, I could give them your contacts

I would happily do that! I mostly work on OCR/HTR for afro-asiatic languages, Hebrew, Samaritan, Armaic mostly.

Great!

Thanks dude for introducing me to Alexey Lyavdansky, very cool guy! I'm training a recognition model for Lake Van Neo-Aramaic.

By the way, he told me to ask you if you have any digitized data on Western Neo-Aramaic, I mean works/texts. I have some of Arnold Werner works printed but I'm away from my country and I don't have them with me, do you have any digital/scanned editions or smth like that? I would appreciate it. Thanks!

I’m happy to help!

Yes, I have a corpus of texts by Arnold Werner and some other work by the research group.
I will collect them and send you via email

Thank you mate! I appreciate it!
