About the weight size of ControlNet between v1 and v1.1

I notice that the weight size of ControlNet reducing to 689MB from 5.7G in v1. I wonder how to manage that.
https://github.com/Mikubill/sd-webui-controlnet/extract_controlnet.py may be a solution, but I do not know what should I do to reduce the weight size.
My model is trained based on the train script in v1 repository.
