Maybe it's a good idea to create a torrent file with all the models and share the torrent / magnet link instead?
Currently, download individual files or git clone takes ages and is bottle-necked by the Hugging Face server.
Again torrent can scale sharing the models much better, and allow peers to also distribute the models across the distributed network.
