Are these models for YOLO-NAS Pose commercial ready ?

Hi hr16,
I’m actually looking to build a commercial project with YOLO-NAS Pose models (or sth. similars in term of performance and accuracy). While the whole super-gradients library including NAS Pose is release under Apache 2.0 license, pretrained weights Deci-AI provided are not free for commercial use as stated in this particular license applying to Pose pre-trained weights.

So it remains only 2 ways (3 if you consider to buy from Deci-AI) to get to use a NAS Pose model in commercial products is to train it from scratch or, get it from someone that has done for us and generously released it under a more permissive license.

So it leads to my questions about your repository , are models you share here converted from official pre-trained weights or you did obtain them by training from scratch. Also, what license is applied to them ?

I converted them from offical pre-trained weights for non-commercial usage. More specifically, they are used in https://github.com/Fannovel16/comfyui_controlnet_aux

Imo, yolov8 may be good enough for your use case. You should try it on your samples

Yolo v8 is great however it has an even more restrictive license in regard to commercial use. To use a v8 model in a product, requiring enterprise from Ultralytics, the company that developed Yolov8 is the only legal way if I have not misread their licensing.

For your information, we are also considering TI’s Yolo-Pose based on Yolov5. Libray and pre-trained weights are commercial friendly. You can take a look at this page
