pip install rpunct does not work with python 3.10

pip install rpunct
Defaulting to user installation because normal site-packages is not writeable

ERROR: Could not find a version that satisfies the requirement torch==1.8.1 (from rpunct) (from versions: 1.11.0, 1.12.0, 1.12.1)
ERROR: No matching distribution found for torch==1.8.1
After googling around, using python 3.8 works.
Could the authors make it work with Python 3.10?
Could also not get rpucnt to install correctly, but using transformers pipeline and calling the model worked great.
