"Backwards compatibility" of a model?

These are WIP. Do not expect any kind of backwards compatibility until they are finalized.
What does that mean in this context? Backwards compatibility with what?
q4_3 and 4_3 are still a work in progress.
According to ggerganov, there may be breaking changes to the implementation of those two formats as they update them.
When that happens, the old 4_2/4_3 models will stop working. For the user this means having to potentially download new versions of the model, maybe as frequent as every week
When that happens, I will update this repo asap
