NLP for Ethiopian languages

Artificial intelligence (AI) is taking shape, and natural language processing (NLP) is its core component. Researchers all over the world are working on NLP for Ethiopian languages, but they don't talk to each other in a formal way. At COLING 2018, Santa Fe, USA, three researchers from Addis Ababa University (Binyam), University of Hamburg (Seid), and University of Trento (Surafel) took the initiative to create a formal NLP society for Ethiopian language NLP research.
