- text: "The baire say -- and the Indians believe -- that illnesses are due to bodies placed by the maeréboe on the part of the ailing organism. Many times they say that it is an insect, a stone, a tooth, a claw, /Illustration appears here/ 102 etc."

- text: "In the decoration of the skin by means of pigments for the feast of Dabukurí , it is always the woman who applies the paint to the man, besides dressing him with his garb of feathers. If the man is married, it is his only wife or the principal wife, in case he has several, who assists him. In the case of a single man, any woman of the community does this work, and the single man contracts with this woman the same obligations and the same rights that a compadre has toward his comadre in the Colombian Creole culture. Besides painting the skin for occasions as esteemed as the feast of the Dabukurí , the daily painting of the face is common. In this case, the function of the pigment is simply aesthetic or for protection from the sun. In the decoration of the body and the extremities, 104 cylindrical wooden pintaderas, which imprint geometric decorations, are used."

- text: "The portents for Jugah's life were apparent in the first year of his life. At a time when one in two Iban infants died during the first year of life, Jugah was a vigorous, alert, and responsive infant. His family situation was a healthful one in which he thrived. Further, in contrast to many other Iban children who were sickly and went through a ritual change of names ( misab ka penama ) in an effort by their parents to improve their health, Jugah retained the name he was first given throughout his life."

- text: "Did you ever hear the tragedy of Darth Plagueis The Wise? I thought not. It’s not a story the Jedi would tell you. It’s a Sith legend. Darth Plagueis was a Dark Lord of the Sith, so powerful and so wise he could use the Force to influence the midichlorians to create life… He had such a knowledge of the dark side that he could even keep the ones he cared about from dying. The dark side of the Force is a pathway to many abilities some consider to be unnatural. He became so powerful… the only thing he was afraid of was losing his power, which eventually, of course, he did. Unfortunately, he taught his apprentice everything he knew, then his apprentice killed him in his sleep. Ironic. He could save others from death, but not himself."

Text Hierarchical Multi-Label Sequence Classification model used to decode if passages contain a misfortunate event, a cause for misfortune, and/or an action to mollify or prevent some misfortune. This hierarchical model takes the sequence classification of main category misfortune labels (EVENT, CAUSE, and ACTION) and feeds them into the classification of 15 sub-labels of these three misfortune labels. effectively, we are taking our Hraf_Multilabel_K-foldsCrossValDemo and feeding it into Chantland/HRAF_Multilabel_SubClasses.
8293 passages were used for Training and split into 5 folds (~6634 for the train set, ~1659 for the validation set over 5 folds).
